• Strongest pliers in the range — large needlenose and regular pliers on a sloped-top handle design that allows the jaw to reach into tighter confined spaces than a standard flat-top plier head. Rolled handles distribute grip pressure over a larger surface for sustained use without hand fatigue.
• Three types of wire cutters, all replaceable — Premium Replaceable Wire Cutters, Premium Replaceable Hard-wire Cutters, and Stranded-wire Cutters. All three cutter types are replaceable in the field; the cutting edges swap out when dulled rather than requiring the tool to be sent back. No other Leatherman multi-tool carries all three cutter types as standard.
• Two separate blades — a 3.2-inch 420HC straight blade and a full separate 420HC serrated blade. Both lock open, both accessible from the closed position. Unlike a combo blade, each edge is maintained independently and neither compromises the other.
• Four screwdrivers plus Phillips — Phillips, Large, Medium, and Small flathead screwdrivers cover virtually every fastener encountered on site, on equipment, or in a vehicle. The Phillips is a distinct screwdriver, not a bit driver — it functions without an accessory kit.
• 9-inch ruler — calibrated in both inches (9 in) and centimetres (22 cm), built directly into the handle for quick measurements without carrying a separate tape.
• Electrical crimper and wire stripper — both included as standard for electrical work; the crimper handles wire connectors and terminals without a separate tool.
• Glove-friendly handle cutouts — large cutouts on both handles allow any tool to be accessed and deployed with thick work gloves on, solving the most common frustration with multi-tools in trade and outdoor use.
• Lanyard ring — a secure ring for attaching the tool to a lanyard, tether, or work belt for retention in elevated work environments.
