- MagnaCut reverse tanto blade — CPM MagnaCut powder metallurgy steel hardened to 60-63 HRC, the same premium steel as the ARC. The reverse tanto geometry gives a full-bellied cutting edge along the main length of the blade for slicing tasks, with a strong reinforced tip suited to piercing and controlled-pressure work. Plain edge only. A thumb stud provides smooth one-handed opening.
- Spring-action scissors — the largest on any Leatherman plier tool — full-size, outside-accessible, and spring-action. These are genuinely large scissors with the biggest cutting surface fitted to any pliers-based Leatherman, designed for tasks where the compact scissors on earlier Wave models left you wanting more. Spring-action means the blades snap back open after every cut without effort.
- Machined G10 scales with topo-contour pattern — G10 is a glass-fibre laminate material used in premium knife handles and technical equipment. It is harder, more weather-resistant, and more dimensionally stable than standard handle materials. The topographic isoline machining provides a positive grip surface while reducing pressure points and hot spots on the palm during extended use.
- Grouped tool deployment — tools in each handle are organised so that related implements deploy from the same side, making tool selection faster and more intuitive than a random mixed layout.
- Two bit drivers with eyeglass screwdriver — both a large and small bit driver accept 1/4" hex bits. Phillips #1-2, 3/16" screwdriver, and an eyeglass screwdriver bit are all included.
- Diamond-coated file and edge file — the diamond-coated file handles precision sharpening and hard surface work; the edge file handles general shaping. The diamond file is the correct tool for maintaining the MagnaCut blade in the field.
- Premium replaceable wire cutters — both standard and hard-wire cutter inserts replace independently when dulled, without needing to return the whole tool.
- Wood/Metal File, saw, awl, electrical crimper, wire stripper — the full tool set expected of a serious working multi-tool, all locking open.
- Scotch-Brite frame finish — a brushed finish on the 420 stainless steel frame that resists fingerprints and minor surface marking better than a polished finish.
