Ultralight Survival Shelter 2
The Lifesystems Ultralight Survival Shelter 2 packs serious two-person storm protection into just 220g. Sometimes called a bothy bag, it pulls over the heads and shoulders of two people to create an instant windproof, waterproof refuge. By trapping body heat it builds a surprisingly warm internal microclimate, making it a genuinely valuable piece of safety kit for waiting out a storm, taking a planned bad-weather break, or sheltering someone in an emergency until help arrives.
- Ultralight 220g design using stripped-back 20D siliconised nylon, so there's no excuse to leave it behind.
- Two-person capacity where shared body heat makes the interior warm quickly.
- Waterproof protection with a 3000mm hydrostatic head to keep wind and rain out.
- Waterproof seat panels that keep you off cold, wet ground and reduce heat loss.
- Air vent to improve airflow and help manage internal condensation.
- High-visibility reflective strips to help emergency services locate you, with an integral stuff sack for fast deployment and re-packing.
Light and packable enough to live permanently in a daypack, it's ideal for hillwalkers, runners, climbers and anyone heading into exposed terrain where the weather can turn quickly.
